Gymnosperm species enlisted from Uttar Pradesh have significant importance in the region, they contribute to the state's biodiversity. The enlisted gymnosperm species are mainly documented from the botanical gardens (Goel and Khuraijam, 2015; Srivastava and Srivastava, 2019); they do not occur wild in Uttar Pradesh. Most of the documented species are cultivated at the CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Botanical Garden, Lucknow. The conservation of threatened gymnosperms is the flagship programme of the Institute.
