Description
Thallus green, single celled or colonial, forming 2- to 32-celled, usually 4- or 8-celled coenobia; cells with linear to strongly alternating cells, cells fusiform, gradually tapering at the ends to a blunt to rounded tip. Inner cells straight outer cells distinctly curved. Cells 10-20 µm long, 2-5 µm in diameter.
