Description
Thallus blackish brown,tufty, main filament creeping, mostly uniseriat, only in parts 2 cells in pairs; from main filaments arise erected branches, usually of the same width or slightly narrower; sheath yellow brown; cells barrel-shaped, 10-12 in dia.
